Apple Watch Ultra 4 set for a major redesign
Apple is reportedly planning a sweeping redesign of the upcoming flagship Apple Watch Ultra 4. The redesign, reported by GSM Arena on Monday, 18 May, would mark the most significant departure since the first Apple Watch Ultra was launched and branded as Apple’s most expensive smartwatch in 2022. The exact nature of the new design was not specified, but the leak also suggests several features will receive substantial upgrades. Not only will sensor accuracy be enhanced, but battery life is expected to improve as well. Changes to the sensor array have also been confirmed after Taiwan-Asia Semiconductor, the main supplier for Apple Watch Ultra sensors, is believed to have secured large orders from July 2026. With confirmed increased sensor orders at the TASC facility, the Apple Watch Ultra 4 is expected to debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, as well as the iPhone Ultra, in September 2026. Looking further ahead, Apple is believed to introduce AirPods Ultra and MacBook Ultra as part of the Ultra line.
