Apple unveils MacBook Neo with cheerful colours

Jakarta — Apple officially unveils the MacBook Neo as an affordable laptop with a visually appealing, cheerful colour palette. ‘Designed from the ground up to be more affordable for more people, the MacBook Neo is a laptop that only Apple can make,’ said Apple Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering John Ternus in a statement. The MacBook Neo comes with an aluminium design and features smooth, rounded corners, making the laptop visually competitive with other MacBook models. In terms of processor, the MacBook Neo is powered by the A18 Pro chip, offering capabilities for everyday productive and entertainment tasks such as web browsing, document creation, streaming content, photo editing, and AI usage. Apple claims that with this chip the MacBook Neo can run up to 50 per cent faster for everyday tasks than a PC with the latest Intel Core Ultra 5 processors. For the battery, the laptop is promised to deliver up to 16 hours of usage. To complement its performance, the MacBook Neo also comes with Apple’s acclaimed Magic Keyboard, providing a comfortable and precise typing experience. There is also a MacBook Neo model with Touch ID enabling easy, fast, and secure login authentication. MacBook Neo is available in four colour options: blush, citrus, indigo, and silver. The device is expected to arrive in Indonesia with price details yet to be disclosed. However, according to Apple’s Singapore website, the laptop is selling from S$849 (about Rp11 million).
