Apple to provide five additional languages for Siri AI starting October 2026

Apple will provide five additional languages for its artificial intelligence-based virtual assistant, Siri AI, starting from October 2026.

According to a report by Engadget on Wednesday (9/9), the languages to be added to Siri AI include French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Siri AI is currently available in English through the beta versions of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27. The feature will become more widely available to users after Apple releases its operating system updates on 14 September 2026.

Siri AI will implement daily usage limits for requests that require Apple’s cloud-based AI models. However, iCloud+ subscribers will be able to make more requests to Siri AI.

To use Siri AI, users will require relatively recent iPhone models. The virtual assistant is available on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, introduced in 2023, and subsequent models.

On newer models, such as the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air, on-device AI models will enable Siri to recognise voice and dictation with greater accuracy.
