Jakarta (ANTARA) - As memory component prices rise, causing increases in the cost of many Android phones, analysts predict that Apple will use an “aggressive pricing strategy” for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, set to launch this autumn. According to a 9to5Mac report on Friday (1/5), analysts estimate that the overall Android market this year may shrink because some low-cost smartphones will not be produced due to cost pressures. In such conditions, analyst Jeff Pu states in his research report that Apple is likely to employ an “aggressive pricing strategy” for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, at least for the base models. This means Apple will likely market the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max starting at $1,099 (approximately Rp19.1 million) and $1,199 (around Rp20.8 million) respectively. However, Apple may subsequently raise prices on product models with higher storage capacities. In this way, Apple can avoid larger margin declines while maintaining consistent pricing for the most affordable models.
