Apple may prepare waiting list for users to trial new Siri AI

Apple appears to be preparing a waiting list for users to trial the new artificial intelligence (AI) innovations for Siri, which are set to arrive with iOS 27. According to a report from GSM Arena, this news was originally reported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg.

According to Gurman, the new Siri will initially be labelled as a beta version, meaning interested users will need to join a waiting list to test it. While AI-powered Siri has been in development since June 2024, Apple has yet to deliver the specific innovations requested by users.

Following the new agreement between Google and Apple to support Siri with Gemini, the iOS 27 update, scheduled for release on Monday (8/6), is a highly anticipated upgrade. Gurman noted that Siri conversations will be synchronised across all Apple devices via iCloud. Users will also have the option to configure Siri to forget conversation history every 30 days, every year, or never. However, those eager to be among the first to experience the updated Siri may have to wait for Apple to add them to the official waiting list.
