Apple Announces Record Mac Sales Following MacBook Neo Launch
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Apple CEO Tim Cook stated that the Mac has just set a sales record after the company released products that created many new Mac customers for the first time.
One of the products in question refers to the MacBook Neo, which caused a stir after its initial release, capturing the attention of new customers looking to buy their first laptop or switch from Windows to the Apple ecosystem.
According to MacRumors on Friday (20/3) local time, Tim Cook announced this on the X platform via his account @tim_cook.
Last week, Apple released the MacBook Neo in the US at a price of just $599 (approximately Rp10 million) for the general public and a special price of $499 (approximately Rp8.4 million) for student buyers.
This pocket-friendly laptop is powered by the same A18 Pro chip as the iPhone 16 Pro.
In addition to the MacBook Neo, Apple also released the MacBook Air with the M5 chip and MacBook Pro models with the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. Thus, this week has been a major one for new Mac releases.
However, the affordable MacBook Neo is likely to drive a record number of first-time Mac buyers.
