Appearance of Tracking Device Found in Vehicle of Former UGM BEM Chair Tiyo

Former Chairman of the Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Student Executive Board (BEM), Tiyo Ardianto, revealed he found a box-shaped tracking device attached to his vehicle. Based on observations from his Instagram account, @tiyoardianto_, the device was installed on the underside of his car. The moment it was retrieved from the left side of the vehicle’s undercarriage was captured. The device is a somewhat thick black box, with protrusions visible on its top and side. Tiyo disclosed that he discovered the device after returning from a protest held in Gejayan on Saturday (13/6). ‘Upon returning from Gejayan, I became aware of an important and urgent notification that a tracking device called PBX Finder was found moving with me,’ Tiyo stated on Sunday (14/6/2026). The tracking device, referred to as PBX Finder, was found beneath the vehicle’s chassis. ‘We then searched and found this tracking device under the vehicle,’ he continued. Tiyo said he does not know who installed the tracking device on his vehicle. ‘It was installed by someone unknown, but what is clear is that this is a disgusting incident, which shows how disgusting the current ruling regime is,’ he said. ‘We who criticise for the betterment of the nation with sincere love are repaid with threats and danger,’ he lamented. Previously, in February, Tiyo also claimed to have received a series of threats after he and the UGM BEM management sent a letter to UNICEF regarding a child suicide case in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
