GIIAS 2026 presents electric vehicles starting from approximately Rp155 million. The Wuling Aira EV stands as the most affordable option, followed by the VinFast VF 3, BYD Atto 1, and Changan Lumin. Visitors crowded Hall 1 of the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang, on Saturday (1/8/2026). The automotive exhibition showcases various compact electric cars with increasingly competitive prices, ranging from the Rp150 million to Rp220 million bracket, as part of manufacturers’ efforts to attract public interest in switching to environmentally friendly vehicles.
The position of the cheapest electric car at GIIAS 202<0xC2>6 is held by the Wuling Aira EV, priced starting from Rp155 million on the road (OTR) Jakarta for the Standard Range variant, while the Long Range variant is sold for Rp175 million. Its compact dimensions make it designed for daily use in urban areas.
One GIIAS visitor, Mirna, stated she had purchased a Wuling Aira EV because of its attractive design and practicality for daily activities. “It is quite cute because it has four doors, and the body is compact, so it seems suitable for driving children to school,” she said.

This compact SUV-style electric car features a boxy design with a semi-off-road feel, a battery range of up to 215 kilometres (NEDC), 40 hp of power, 110 Nm of torque, and can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in 5.3 seconds.
