Appearance of Sealed White Rabbit Nightclub in North Jakarta Linked to Drug Case, Closed with Police Tape

The Satpol PP of DKI Jakarta sealed the White Rabbit nightclub at Golf Island PIK Block C No. 28–30, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, on Thursday (23/4/2026). Kompas.com observations in front of the White Rabbit nightclub on Friday (24/4/2026) revealed a white banner measuring 1x2 metres tied to the front of the club. The banner was an announcement from Satpol PP closing and prohibiting business activities at White Rabbit PIK. It also bore the signature of the Head of Satpol PP DKI Jakarta, Satriadi Gunawan. Additionally, three announcement papers were posted on the windows. Two of them were the same announcements as on the white banner. Meanwhile, the other one read “Entry prohibited! This building is under the supervision of the Narcotics Crime Directorate of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency”, with two faded logos above the text. The nightclub’s entrance door was closed with two orange cones and two police lines strung across forming the letter “X”, plus an additional horizontal line crossing exactly in the middle of the “X”. Two walls beside the police lines had Satpol PP announcement papers posted, one on each side. Ani (not her real name), a staff member at the shophouse complex, said that the yellow police tape had been in place in front of the White Rabbit nightclub’s entrance for quite some time. “The yellow one has been there for a while, about two weeks, I think, anyway after Lebaran,” she told Kompas.com at the location on Friday. She said that the nightclub had been empty for quite some time with no activities taking place. “There haven’t been any people there either. Since the tape was put up, I don’t know if they’re on holiday or what, I’m not sure,” she added.
