Appearance of Rejang Lebong Regent Following KPK Suspect Status

Muhammad Fikri Thobari, regent of Rejang Lebong in Bengkulu Province, remained silent as he was transported to the KPK’s State Detention Centre on Wednesday, 11 March.

He, along with four others, was designated as a suspect by the KPK in an alleged bribery case related to a project following a hand-catching operation (OTT) on Monday, 9 March.

Five individuals were designated as suspects in the operation, including Fikri Thobari. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that three suspects were from the private sector whilst the other two were state officials acting as bribery recipients, including Fikri.
