Appearance of Prosecutor Wira Arizona and Colleagues as They Meet Amsal Sitepu at the DPR
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Head of the Karo District Prosecutor’s Office, Danke Rajagukguk, and the prosecutors who went viral while handling the case of videographer Amsal Christy Sitepu, starting from Wira Arizona, Reinhard Harve Sembiring, and Dona Martinus Sebayang, were summoned to the DPR Building in Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (2/4/2026).
In addition, those prosecutors also became viral for stating that video editing costs should be Rp 0, and for taking issue with English language terms.
Kompas.com observations at the location showed that the prosecutors were summoned together with Amsal Sitepu, North Sumatra Attorney General Harli Siregar, and Chairman of the Prosecutors’ Commission (Komjak) Pujiyono Suwadi in the Commission III DPR room.
The prosecutors appeared to be seated in a row on the side, fully dressed in their brown uniforms.
Habiburokhman reminded the prosecutors that forcing or intimidating someone to admit something could result in them being imprisoned for 7 years.
Because, he said, based on the new Criminal Procedure Code, suspects or defendants are free from torture, intimidation, and inhumane acts.
“And degrading human dignity,” he stressed.
Meanwhile, the Attorney General’s Office has clarified that giving brownies to Amsal was part of the prosecutors’ humane approach, not a form of intimidation.
Amsal stated that the prosecutor came to the detention centre (rutan) bringing chocolate brownies.
Then, the prosecutor asked Amsal to stop making a fuss.
“In the legal process that I am currently undergoing, I have experienced direct intimidation from the prosecutor who gave me a box of chocolate brownies with a message; he spoke directly to me in this rutan, ‘just follow the flow. Don’t make a fuss. Close those contents. Someone is disturbed’,” said Amsal on Monday (30/3/2026).
Amsal said he rejected the prosecutor’s request.
He stated that no more young people should be criminalised in Indonesia.
