Appearance of Man Who Sent Bomb Threat to SDN Srengseng Sawah 15

Police have arrested a man with the initials MY (34) who sent a bomb terror threat to SDN Srengseng Sawah 15 Pagi, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. The perpetrator appeared with his head bowed after being arrested. Based on observations at the South Jakarta Police headquarters on Monday (13/7/2026), the perpetrator was seen wearing a red shirt and grey trousers. The perpetrator was also wearing a mask. The perpetrator only kept his head bowed as he got out of the police car. Accompanied by three officers, the perpetrator entered the South Jakarta Metro Police headquarters with his hands tied with cable ties. Police revealed the perpetrator’s motive for sending the bomb threat to SDN Srengseng Sawah 15 Pagi Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. The perpetrator claimed it was a prank. ‘For the perpetrator’s motive, based on the preliminary results of his statement, it was merely a prank,’ said the Director of General Crime at Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Iman Imannudin, to reporters on Monday (13/6). However, the police are still investigating the perpetrator’s statement. The police, together with the Densus 88 Anti-terror unit, are still conducting an in-depth investigation, including into the perpetrator’s background. ‘We are continuing to investigate, and investigators are continuously coordinating with the Densus 88 Anti-terror unit,’ he said. The perpetrator is currently detained at the South Jakarta Metro Police headquarters. The police are still examining the perpetrator.
