TANGERANG – Drug trafficking fugitive Erwin Iskandar bin Iskandar, alias Ko Erwin, finally arrived at Terminal 1C of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, under the close supervision of officers from the Directorate of Narcotics Crime (Dittipidnarkoba) of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim Polri).

The arrival of the methamphetamine distributor was brief and closed to the public, with his hands bound in yellow plastic ties. As he exited from the arrival gate, Ko Erwin appeared downcast and avoided media attention.

His face was barely visible, as it was covered with a black cloth and a black hat. He made no statement whilst walking towards the prepared vehicle.

Ko Erwin was then immediately placed into a black Toyota Kijang Innova that had been waiting in the arrival area. The transfer process occurred quickly before the vehicle left the airport grounds.

The Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri had previously taken over the manhunt for Erwin, who was listed as a wanted person (DPO).

“It is correct that Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri has taken over the manhunt for wanted person Erwin,” said Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, in his statement on Thursday (26 February 2026).

Erwin was designated as a wanted person with number: DPO/23/II/RES.4.2./2026/Dittipidnarkoba, accompanied by his photograph.

In the wanted person notice, Erwin is accused of violating Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) and/or Article 137 letter a of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code and Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Sentencing Adjustments.

The takeover of the manhunt occurred amidst an investigation into alleged narcotics charges involving former Bima City Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Didik Putra Kuncoro.

Erwin’s name previously appeared in a statement dated 18 February 2025 made by Didik.

Ko Erwin, along with a distributor with initials B, alias Boy, are stated to have sent approximately 2.8 billion rupiah to the former Head of the Narcotics Unit at Bima City Police, First Lieutenant Malaungi.

An amount of 1.8 billion rupiah is known to have originated from distributor B during the period from June to November 2025.

“Then from KE in December, and all of it was held in a collection account under someone else’s name,” said Kombes Roman, Director of the Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police.

He explained that the flow of funds from drug distributors was received by First Lieutenant Malaungi either in cash or by transfer.

“From Distributor B received in cash by the former Head of the Narcotics Unit, then handed in cash to the former Bima City Police Chief, then held in an account under someone else’s name,” Roman explained.

“Distributor KE transferred to an account under someone else’s name controlled by the former Head of the Narcotics Unit at Bima City, and after being held in the account was withdrawn in cash,” Roman stated.
