Appearance of Drug Convict Bayu Wicaksono at Bareskrim Following Arrest in Myanmar

The drug convict who escaped from the Class IIB Sukadana Detention Centre in East Lampung, Bayu Wicaksono, also known as Ncek, has finally arrived at the Bareskrim Polri building in South Jakarta. The fugitive, who was arrested in Myanmar, arrived under the escort of investigators.

Observations at the location on Sunday (30/08/2026) showed that Bayu arrived at approximately 19:22 WIB. He was seen wearing a black t-shirt, light-coloured shorts, and flip-flops.

Bayu Wicaksono appeared to have a tall physique. One of the most striking features of the man, who has been a fugitive since 2024, is that both of his hands are covered in tattoos.

With his handcuffed hands covered by a blue bag, Bayu was escorted into the building by investigators from the Directorate of Narcotics Crimes of Bareskrim Polri. He appeared to keep his head down as he walked past members of the media.

When questioned regarding his escape over the past two years, Bayu did not utter a single word. He remained silent until entering the lift to undergo further interrogation.

Previously, the Director of Narcotics Crimes of Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, confirmed that Bayu Wicaksono was arrested in the Tachilek region of Myanmar on 17 July 2026. The arrest was the result of cross-border police cooperation after Bayu was placed on the most wanted list (DPO).

“The fugitive named Bayu Wicaksono, alias Encek, who is also a prisoner who escaped from the Class IIB Sukadana Detention Centre, East Lampung, was arrested in Tachilek, Myanmar, on 17 July 2026,” stated Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso via a statement on Sunday (30/08/2026).

During his period as a fugitive, Bayu Wicaksono is alleged to have continued his involvement in illegal narcotics practices. He is suspected of being a controller for a transnational drug network, specifically one operating within Malaysia.
