Appeal to the nation's leaders

Government authorities, please help the people. While the
situation worsens by the day, you busy yourselves with mutual
accusations and reproach, feeling your vision is right.
Apparently you are not aware that you are behaving like buffoons
for the sake of personal interest and ambition.

Riots and lootings continue unabated everywhere. Matters of
ethnicity, religion, race and intergroup relations are
unavoidable and may lead to the nation's disintegration.
Meanwhile, people are crying from hunger, and mothers are worried
because their infants have no milk. There are so many more
happenings sufficient enough for us to be introspective.

Without ignoring the struggle of the whole community,
especially students, for a better Indonesia and a people-elected
government, we must be aware that our condition is deteriorating.
Stop all those endless disputes. Find solutions for all problems,
with patience and put aside all matters of personal interest and
ambition for the sake of the nation and country.
