This is my hope for you, Soeharto, as a fellow Muslim. May his children or those closest to him convey the following message to him.

You must sincerely repent before Allah SWT. As the former number one person in Indonesia, do something which will remain in the annals of our history as a radical reform undertaken by a Muslim who really keeps himself subservient only to God. 1. Be honest with yourself and ask Allah SWT and the entire Indonesian population to forgive you. 2. Return the assets which are not yours but belong by right to the Republic of Indonesia. 3. Order all men still under your influence to do the same. God willing, only Allah will decide whether or not the Indonesian public will forgive you. Why should you feel afraid to do all this? Poverty? Losing face? Seeing your children and grandchildren suffer? To be belittled by other world leaders? Or to be mobbed to death?

My brother, Soeharto, if you fear Allah SWT, the other fears will seem meaningless.

Instead, you will become a hero of mankind, serving particularly as a model for leaders in other Islamic countries. Hundreds of millions of Muslims the world over will pray for you and your family. May Allah SWT accept your dedication and devotion. Have you got the courage?
