Jakarta, VIVA – The app-based transport platform Gojek has affirmed that there will be no rise in the price of GoRide motorcycle taxi services for customers following Presidential Regulation Number 27 of 2026, regarding an app-based platform’s discount cap at 8% and 92% of earnings for online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol).
‘We will arrange to ensure there is no change in the prices paid by consumers for GoRide regular service. In this way, we hope the number of orders from consumers will remain stable and sustainable, and the total earnings for driver partners can also be better,’ said Hans Patuwo, Chief Executive Officer of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), at a press briefing in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Furthermore, Hans said the company respects and is prepared to implement the President Prabowo Subianto’s directive regarding the trimming of revenue cuts taken by the app-based platform from online motorcycle taxi drivers to eight percent.
‘We are committed to adjusting the revenue-sharing scheme so that 92 percent of every GoRide trip will be the drivers’ rightful share. This is a fairly substantial change for us,’ he said.
Although this will potentially reduce the company’s revenue from the motorcycle taxi service, Hans believes the move is a long-term investment for the future of a healthier and better online transportation ecosystem for all parties.
In addition, he said Gojek will strengthen welfare programmes for driver partners and their families, as part of supporting realising Asta Cita in terms of providing higher quality jobs and economic equality.
On the other hand, Hans said the company will also optimise other business lines to support the changes brought about by the adaptation of Perpres 27/2026.
‘As part of the GoTo ecosystem, we have various business lines that support and continue to grow. This includes delivery, logistics, financial services, and various other digital services,’ Hans said.
‘The strength of this ecosystem provides a solid foundation for Gojek to continue to grow, while maintaining the excellence of our services. Through the strength of the ecosystem and ongoing innovation, we are confident in making the necessary adjustments,’ he added.
