API leverages ART agreement to revive Indonesia's textile industry
Workers complete the production of knitted garments at the Binong Jati Knitting Centre in Bandung, West Java, on Thursday (16/4/2026). The Indonesian Textile Association (API) is leveraging the Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART) between Indonesia and the United States to serve as a momentum for the resurgence of Indonesia’s textile industry, which can boost the competitiveness of national products in the US market while supporting around four million workers and providing economic impacts for 20 million Indonesians.
