The XVIII National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (APEKSI) in Medan, running from 28 June to 4 July 2026, will address a number of strategic agendas involving city governments from across Indonesia. Medan Mayor Rico Tri Putra Waas stated that the working meeting is expected to be attended by representatives from 96 city governments, comprising 88 mayors, four deputy mayors, two regional secretaries, and one head of a Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda). He added that the working meeting will also coincide with the Medan City Government’s annual agenda.
