APEC summit on Nov. 19

TOKYO (AFP): The Japanese cabinet will tomorrow adopt Nov. 19
as the date for the informal summit between leaders of the Asia
Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in Osaka next year,
Jiji Press reported.

The report said the third informal summit would be held two
days after the group's annual ministerial meeting winds up on
Nov. 17.

The 18-member group held its second summit in Bogor,
Indonesia, last month. The first summit was held in Seattle last
year.
