APDESI Urges Village Heads to Support Prabowo in Eradicating Corruption
Junaedhi Mulyono, Chairman of the Central Leadership Board of the Association of Indonesian Village Governments (DPP APDESI), has expressed support for President Prabowo Subianto in strengthening the fight against corruption. According to him, the government has demonstrated its commitment to ensuring that every case is handled professionally, transparently and in accordance with the applicable legal framework.
Junaedhi said that strengthening coordination among law enforcement agencies is an important step in maintaining the effectiveness of corruption eradication while reinforcing public trust in the law enforcement process. He hopes this spirit will continue to be realised through firm, objective and impartial enforcement of the law.
“President Prabowo’s commitment to strengthening corruption eradication is a step that deserves the support of every element of the nation. Building a clean government must be a shared responsibility, from the central government down to village administrations. With strong synergy, I am optimistic that the aspiration of a Indonesia free from corrupt practices can be realised,” Junaedhi said in a statement on Sunday (12 July 2026).
He believes that combating corruption is not merely a matter of enforcement, but must also be reinforced through preventive measures based on good governance. He noted that village heads play a highly strategic role as the frontline of government in ensuring that every development programme and the management of village finances are carried out transparently, accountably, effectively and in compliance with prevailing laws and regulations.
In his view, the current public attention on corruption eradication should serve as a momentum for all village heads to further strengthen their integrity in running village administrations. Village heads are expected to set an example in upholding the principles of transparency, accountability and professionalism, and to prioritise the public interest in every policy decision.
Furthermore, Junaedhi affirmed that APDESI will continue to encourage capacity building among village heads in realising clean village governance free from corrupt practices. According to him, synergy between village heads, regional governments, internal government supervisory bodies, law enforcement agencies and the public is a key factor in building an effective corruption prevention system that reaches down to village level.
He also invited all village heads affiliated with DPP APDESI to continue supporting Prabowo’s commitment to strengthening corruption eradication through transparent, accountable and honest village governance. According to him, the success of corruption eradication is measured not only by successful prosecution of offenders, but also by the ability of all government administrators to build systems capable of preventing irregularities from the outset.
