The Chairman of the Central Board of the Indonesian Village Government Association (DPP APDESI), Junaedhi Mulyono, has expressed support for President Prabowo Subianto in strengthening the eradication of corruption. He stated that the government has demonstrated its commitment to ensuring every case is handled professionally, transparently, and in accordance with legal corridors. Junaedhi said that strengthening coordination between law enforcement agencies is an important step in maintaining the effectiveness of corruption eradication while bolstering public trust in the law enforcement process. He expressed hope that this spirit will continue to be realised through firm, objective, and impartial law enforcement. “President Prabowo’s commitment to strengthening the eradication of corruption is a step that deserves support from all elements of the nation. The effort to build a clean government must be a shared responsibility, from the central government to the village government. With strong synergy, I am optimistic that the goal of realising a corruption-free Indonesia can be achieved,” Junaedhi said in a statement on Sunday (12/7/2026). He assessed that eradicating corruption is not enough by merely prioritising prosecution, but must also be strengthened through preventive measures via good governance. He noted that village heads have a very strategic role as the spearhead of government in ensuring that every development programme and village financial management is carried out transparently, accountably, effectively, and in accordance with statutory regulations. He considered that the current dynamics of corruption eradication, which are of public concern, should serve as momentum for all village heads to further strengthen integrity in running village governance. Village heads are required to be role models in upholding the principles of transparency, accountability, and professionalism, as well as prioritising the interests of the community in every policy decision. Furthermore, Junaedhi emphasised that APDESI will continue to encourage the capacity building of village heads to realise clean and corruption-free village governance. He stated that synergy between village heads, regional governments, government internal supervisory apparatus, law enforcement officials, and the community is a key factor in building an effective corruption prevention system down to the village level. He also invited all village heads who are members of DPP APDESI to continue supporting President Prabowo’s commitment to strengthening corruption eradication through transparent, accountable, and high-integrity village governance. According to him, the success of corruption eradication is not only measured by the success of prosecuting perpetrators, but also by the ability of all government administrators to build a system capable of preventing irregularities from an early stage.
