JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Anwar Usman will officially retire as a Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) on 6 April 2026. On Monday (6 April 2026), Anwar Usman will have completed 15 years of service at the institution nicknamed the “guardian of the constitution.” In his final hearing on Monday (16 March 2026), Anwar Usman expressed his apologies for his tenure as an MK justice. “For that reason, from the depths of my heart, I convey my apologies,” said Anwar Usman on Monday. On that occasion, Anwar Usman also delivered a farewell message, as he will have completed 15 years of service at the MK on 6 April 2026. “Before I read the decision, this may be the last hearing I attend, because on 6 April 2026, I will have served 15 years at the Constitutional Court,” said Anwar Usman.
