Jakarta - Former Constitutional Court Justice Anwar Usman has explained his health condition after collapsing or fainting following the retirement ceremony in the Constitutional Court plenary session room, Central Jakarta, on Monday (13/4/2026). Anwar revealed that his physical condition had deteriorated due to insufficient rest in recent times. He admitted to staying up until the early hours after returning from an overseas trip. “Lack of sleep, stayed up until dawn. I usually watch podcasts, as I had just returned from Bosnia. I also hadn’t had breakfast yet,” said Anwar Usman after receiving medical treatment. During the event, he appeared to be in good condition and even delivered farewell greetings to the active constitutional justices. After the ceremony ended, Anwar bid farewell and walked towards the exit door of the session room towards the MK lobby. However, suddenly he appeared to lose balance, his body weakened, and he eventually fell and fainted. After receiving treatment, his condition gradually improved, and he was able to provide an explanation regarding the incident he experienced.
