Anwar Usman and Ministers Arrive at Palace Ahead of Constitutional Court Justice Swearing-In
JAKARTA - Several officials arrived at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday (10/4/2026) afternoon ahead of the swearing-in ceremony for the Constitutional Court justice replacing Anwar Usman in the presence of President Prabowo Subianto. The officials began arriving around 1:00 PM Western Indonesia Time. They included Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Deputy Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Otto Hasibuan, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago, and Deputy Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Lodewijk. He was seen wearing a black suit and a blue tie. “I was invited, so I came,” said Anwar shortly before entering the State Palace on Friday. In addition to the swearing-in of the Constitutional Court justice, President Prabowo will also witness the oaths of nine members of the Indonesian Ombudsman that have been approved by the DPR RI. Furthermore, Prabowo will appoint several ambassadors at the same event. “There are three (agendas). Constitutional Court justice, Ombudsman, and ambassadors. I don’t know which countries,” explained Anwar. “Hopefully, it brings wisdom and blessings for the Constitutional Court and for the country, of course, the nation and state,” hoped Anwar.
