Anwar Ibrahim to Fly to Jakarta Tomorrow to Fulfil Prabowo's Invitation
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to make a special visit to Jakarta on Friday (27/3/2026). The visit is at the invitation of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

These issues are considered to have direct implications for Malaysia and Indonesia, especially in maintaining economic resilience amid global uncertainties.
In this meeting, the two countries are also expected to enhance diplomatic efforts to reduce global tensions. In addition, discussions will cover measures to ensure the continuity of international trade routes and global supply chains, which are crucial for the welfare of the people in each country.
“These latest developments require comprehensive, careful, and coordinated discussions between the two countries to align positions and strengthen strategic cooperation in responding to the situation,” it added.
Not only that, the meeting between Anwar and Prabowo will also highlight the importance of strengthening ASEAN’s role as a solid and principled regional bloc.
