Anwar Ibrahim Introduces AI-Powered Avatar of Himself

Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA) - Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has introduced to the public an avatar of himself based on artificial intelligence (AI).

Through the AI avatar, Anwar Ibrahim launched a service on WhatsApp, where the public can ask anything to the AI version of himself via WhatsApp at the number +60378850523.

Questions will be answered automatically in accordance with the query submitted.

“I very much hope that you can convey your views, concerns and aspirations directly through this avatar. I firmly believe that the country will only become better if its development and policies are grounded in the voice and will of the people,” Anwar said in a statement quoted in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

The service is called PMX AI. PMX is the nickname given to Anwar Ibrahim as Malaysia’s tenth Prime Minister, while AI is an acronym for artificial intelligence.

PMX AI is an avatar of Anwar Ibrahim developed by the company Zetrix AI.

The PMX AI avatar has been “trained” on Anwar Ibrahim’s speeches and writings, as well as Malaysian government policies, and will continue to be updated with his latest speeches.

The PMX AI avatar is said to be designed to help the Malaysian public access or enquire about government information, as well as provide guidance on education, careers and employment.

Based on checks conducted, the WhatsApp-based service was temporarily unavailable on Sunday evening.
