Antigraft drive
Antigraft drive
From Suara Karya
According to media reports, one of the present Cabinet ministers has refused to sign an anti-graft pact that the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has initiated.
This is sad news to the general people as it shows that graft is still rampant in this country. It should be remembered that, according to a list drawn up by an international antigraft agency, Indonesia is ranked sixth in the world in terms of graft. The previous government was replaced because it was highly corrupt. Unfortunately, graft practices are more rife today than before.
In this context, cabinet ministers must take the lead in eradicating graft throughout the country. When corruption is eliminated, there is a good chance that Indonesia will improve economically.
