Jakarta (ANTARA) - Transjakarta has prepared 10 units of night-time transport (Amari) at Kalideres Terminal in West Jakarta to anticipate a surge in passengers during the return flow from the Eid al-Fitr holiday. “For special preparations, we are working together with Transjakarta, including with Mikrotrans. Around five to 10 additional fleets beyond the regular ones,” said the Head of Kalideres Terminal, Nur Prasetyo, when contacted in Jakarta on Tuesday night. He stated that these Amari units will operate from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. WIB. “That’s for night-time transport, from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.,” said Pras. Meanwhile, he revealed that Kalideres Terminal has begun showing an increase in return flow passengers from the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday, with a total of 1,609 passengers arriving on Tuesday from 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. WIB. One factor causing this surge in arrivals, he said, is the start of the working day for some people on Wednesday, 25 March 2026. “Today, an increase in the number of return flow passengers has been observed because tomorrow some will start returning to work,” Pras explained. These thousands of passengers arrived from various regions, from Central Java to Banten. “For now, the most are from Central Java, second from Sumatra, third still from West Java, then East Java and Banten,” Pras said. Furthermore, he stated that the number of return flow passengers will continue to increase until it peaks on Friday, 27 March 2026. “The peak flow is predicted on H+5, just like last year,” Pras concluded.
