PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has ensured the availability of fuel on toll roads remains secure during the mudik and balik (return) journey for Lebaran 2026, including during the implementation of the one-way traffic system. To date, fuel consumption has increased by 11 per cent and is estimated to reach 30 per cent during the mudik and balik period.

The Director of Retail Marketing at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Eko Ricky Susanto, stated that Pertamina has completed preparations regarding the one-way system. “We have received information that the one-way system will be implemented on Wednesday (18 March). Therefore, we have prepared fuel on the toll roads. The critical fuel refuelling points are located in Central Java, starting from Brebes, Tegal, and Pekalongan,” said Eko following an inspection of the Serambi MyPertamina facility at Purwokerto Station, Central Java, on Tuesday (17 March).

Eko stated that the company had conducted direct inspections of several service points on the toll route to ensure fuel distribution readiness. According to him, to date, fuel consumption has increased by 11 per cent. From estimates, fuel consumption is projected to reach 30 per cent during the mudik and balik period.

“We have visited several rest areas, such as at KM 57 and KM 207A from the Tegal direction and also KM 260B, to ensure all facilities and services are prepared to handle the increased population mobility,” he said.

In addition to inspecting fuel refuelling facilities, Pertamina has also ensured the readiness of the Serambi MyPertamina service provided for mudik travellers. This service is one of the additional facilities offered to provide a more comfortable experience for the public during the mudik journey.

According to Eko, there are currently approximately 40 Serambi MyPertamina points prepared at various strategic locations. Six of these are main facilities located at toll road rest areas. Additionally, similar facilities are also available at ports, airports, and at Purwokerto Station, which is the only railway station with this service.

“This is a form of Pertamina’s service to provide a better experience for the public during Ramadan and Idul Fitri,” he said.

In addition to rest facilities, Pertamina has prepared modular fuel kiosks at several toll rest areas. This facility serves as an additional fuel refuelling point to anticipate the surge in demand during the mudik and balik period.

This measure is also part of preparations for the implementation of the one-way system from KM 57 to Kalikangkung, scheduled to take effect on Wednesday (18 March) at 10:00 WIB. Under these conditions, Pertamina has prepared several storage tanker vehicles as fuel supply reserves at several strategic points from west to east.

Additionally, motorist fuel assistance services have been arranged to help mudik travellers who run out of fuel during their journey. These motorists operate in cooperation with officers from Jasa Marga and the police force. “The motorists will assist consumers who require fuel on the toll roads, so vehicles can continue their journey,” Eko explained.

In terms of supply, Pertamina has ensured fuel stock in the Central Java Region (JBT) remains secure. Distribution is supported by several fuel terminals, including Tegal, Perak, Rewulu, Maos, and Boyolali terminals.

According to Eko, all of these terminals have been prepared to ensure smooth fuel distribution during the Lebaran mudik period.

“We ensure fuel stock is not only secure nationally but also sufficient at the regional level, particularly in Central Java,” he said.

In addition to anticipating the surge in fuel consumption, Pertamina has also prepared special attention services for areas potentially affected by extreme weather, given that rainfall in several regions remains relatively high.
