Anticipating Congestion, JTT Implements Contraflow on Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road

Cikampek, Kompas.com - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) together with the Police continues traffic engineering in the form of contraflow or counterflow on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road section towards Cikampek. This step is taken to anticipate the increase in vehicle volume heading to the East Trans Java region during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday period. Furthermore, the contraflow is continued from KM 55 to KM 70 towards Cikampek with a scheme of 2 lanes at 13.55 WIB to help ease traffic density towards the east. Ria Marlinda Paallo, Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, stated that the implementation of this traffic engineering is an effort to maintain the smooth flow of vehicles and ensure the safety of toll road users. “The implementation of contraflow traffic engineering is carried out situationally based on the discretion of the Police by considering the traffic conditions on the ground,” said Ria in her statement on Saturday (21/3/2026). JTT urges all Trans Java toll road users to always prioritise safety while driving, ensure sufficient e-money balance before entering the toll road, and comply with traffic signs and instructions from officers on the ground.
