Anti-Scam! 289,000 Overseas Job Vacancies Available, Check Official Information Here
Opportunities to work abroad remain wide open for the Indonesian people. However, prospective Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) are advised not to indiscriminately accept job offers circulating, particularly through social media or private messages.
The government is now providing an official channel that the public can utilise to check job vacancies while ensuring that the placement process is conducted according to proper procedures.
Deputy Minister of Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection (P2MI), Christina Aryani, urged the public to utilise the Computerised System for the Service and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (SISKOP2MI). According to Christina, those wishing to learn about overseas job opportunities can first create an account on the platform.
“If you want to see job opportunities abroad, the easiest way is actually to create an account on SISKOP2MI and see what opportunities are currently available overseas,” Christina stated during a press conference with the Indonesian Government Communication Agency (Bakom) in Jakarta on Wednesday, 2 September 2026.
Notably, there are approximately 289,000 overseas job vacancies available this year that can be monitored through the official system. These vacancies are not limited to a single field; various sectors are available, allowing the public to match opportunities with their respective skills and experience.
“The vacancies are divided into various sectors. Whether it be healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, welding, construction, crew members, electrical, welding, and so on,” said Christina.
Beyond merely searching for vacancies, SISKOP2MI is designed to integrate several stages of the placement and protection process for migrant workers. Through this platform, prospective migrant workers can search for job information, register, undergo the selection process, and monitor the progress of their applications.
Various administrative placement requirements can also be processed through this digital system, including the fulfilment of required documents, verification, and the scheduling of Pre-Departure Orientation (OPP). Prospective workers can also track the status of their processing before finally being deployed to work in their destination countries.
The system’s scope extends beyond the departure stage; it also includes services related to issues experienced by migrant workers, the restoration of rights, the recording of administrative sanctions against Indonesian Migrant Worker Placement Companies (P3MI), and the management of migrant worker repatriation.
