The Rokan Hilir Police (Polres Rohil) and regional leadership forum (Forkopimda) have officially established an anti-narcotics task force as the frontline force in eradicating the illegal drug trade. The event marked a declaration of total inter-agency war to eliminate drug networks at their roots.

The large-scale readiness parade for the anti-narcotics task force was held at MTQ Field, Batu Enam Administrative Street, Bagan Punak Meranti Village, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency, on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. The event was led by Rohil Police Chief AKBP Isa Imam Syahroni and Regent H Bustaman.

Attendees included Rohil Vice Regent Jhony Charles, Dandim 0321/Rohil Lieutenant Colonel Inf Diki Apriyadi, TNI-Polri personnel, Satpol PP officers, Forkopimda members, as well as students and university students.

The task force’s establishment was marked by the distribution of vests. During the event, Rohil Police also appointed several anti-narcotics ambassadors from the community, students, and university students.

“This moment is not merely ceremonial. The formation of the task force and appointment of anti-narcotics ambassadors are concrete acts of resistance. Immediately conduct awareness and education in your respective communities to safeguard our region,” said AKBP Isa in a statement on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

In his speech, AKBP Isa outlined six key points for the Rohil anti-narcotics task force to follow, including enhancing readiness and vigilance across all fronts, strengthening inter-agency synergy, maintaining neutrality, and steadfastly enforcing the law.

“Take firm and comprehensive action without exception. Expand prevention and education efforts to the wider public, ensuring all institutions are drug-free,” he added.

On the same occasion, Rohil Police destroyed seized narcotics evidence from the past month, including 8,110 ecstasy pills and 2.46 kilograms of powdered ecstasy.

The event was reinforced by a declaration against narcotics signed by all Forkopimda members. The five-point declaration includes:

  • Reject all forms of drug abuse and illegal trafficking in Rohil

  • Commit to safeguarding oneself, family, and community from drug dangers

  • Fully support law enforcement against narcotics offenders

  • Actively participate in prevention through education and reporting to authorities

  • Foster a healthy, intelligent, and drug-free youth generation in Rokan Hilir
