Anti-Corruption Unit Raids Café in Cipete Over Coal Supply Graft Probe
The Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortas Tipikor) of the Indonesian National Police, together with the Metro Jaya Regional Police, searched a café and a money changer in the Cipete area of South Jakarta on Wednesday. The operation is part of an investigation into alleged corruption in coal supply involving state-owned electricity company PT PLN (Persero), state insurer PT Asabri (Persero), and steelmaker PT Krakatau Steel. The case is connected to power blackouts under PT PLN’s management, as well as graft allegations at PT Asabri and PT Jiwasraya during the 2020–2025 period, and suspected money laundering related to the settlement of debts owed by PT CBS to PT KNI.
