Anti-Corruption Commission Summons Former Pati Officials in Sudewo Investigation
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned the former Deputy Regent of Pati, Saiful Arifin (SA), and the former Chairman of the Pati Regency Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), Sunarwi (SUN), as witnesses in the alleged extortion case involving the inactive Regent of Pati, Sudewo (SDW).
“The questioning will take place at the Semarang City Police Headquarters, Central Java, involving SA as the former Deputy Regent of Pati, and SUN as the former Chairman of the Pati DPRD, as well as a member of the Regent of Pati’s campaign team,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Budi stated that the KPK has also summoned several members of Sudewo’s campaign team for the 2024 Pati Regional Election, including AE and TON, as well as a former member of the Pati DPRD with the initials AS, and a member of the Supervisory Board of the RAA Soewondo General Hospital in Pati with the initials MAN.
In addition, he said that the KPK has summoned several village heads, namely ES as the Head of Perdopo Village, SUS as the Head of Gajihan Village, TAF as the Head of Pundenrejo Village, SUY as the Head of Gesegan Village, WE as the Head of Mojo Village, YUN as the Head of Dororejo Village, and DT as the Head of Batursari Village.
Previously, on 19 January 2026, the KPK confirmed that it had conducted an operation to catch red-handed (OTT) in Pati Regency and arrested the Regent of Pati, Sudewo.
Subsequently, on 20 January 2026, the KPK brought Sudewo along with seven other individuals to the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta.
On the same date, the KPK announced four suspects in the alleged corruption case related to extortion in the filling of village official positions within the Pati Regency Government.
They are the Regent of Pati, Sudewo (SDW); the Head of Karangrowo Village, Jakenan District, Abdul Suyono (YON); the Head of Arumanis Village, Jaken District, Sumarjiono (JION); and the Head of Sukorukun Village, Jaken District, Karjan (JAN).
In addition, the KPK announced that Sudewo is a suspect in the alleged bribery case related to the construction and maintenance of railway lines within the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation.
