Anti-Corruption Commission Seizes Hundreds of Millions in Rupiah During Cilacap Regent Arrest Operation
JAKARTA – The Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) has seized hundreds of millions of rupiah in cash during a corruption sting operation conducted in Cilacap Regency.
However, KPK investigators have not yet disclosed the exact amount of seized funds. In addition to the cash, investigators have also seized various documents and electronic evidence.
The KPK has designated two individuals as suspects in this case. Investigators declined to disclose the identities of those formally designated as suspects at this stage.
“What is certain is that two people have been designated as suspects in this afternoon’s announcement,” said a KPK spokesman.
The KPK arrested 27 individuals during the sting operation in Cilacap Regency on Friday (13 March 2026). Of this number, 13 individuals, including Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman and Cilacap Regional Secretary (Sekda) Sadmoko Danardono, were brought to Jakarta.
“All of them are currently undergoing examination,” the spokesman stated.
Previously, Syamsul and other officials were suspected of receiving payments related to projects within the Cilacap Regency Government.
