Jakarta – The Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) is currently mapping corruption vulnerabilities in the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG) following the emergence of allegations of price mark-ups or inflation of raw food ingredient prices for Nutrition Service Unit (SPPG) kitchens.

“Through our prevention function, the KPK is currently conducting an assessment to map corruption vulnerabilities that can be prevented and mitigated,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Monday, 2 March 2026.

Budi explained that one of the outcomes of this assessment would comprise recommendations, which would then be submitted to relevant stakeholders.

Additionally, he stated that the KPK, through the National Anti-Corruption Prevention Strategy (Stranas PK), is also focusing its efforts on government priority programmes, including the MBG.

Previously, on 24 February 2026, Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency Nanik Sudaryati Deyang acknowledged receiving numerous reports of partners frequently inflating the prices of raw food ingredients for SPPG kitchens.

The price inflation was reportedly above the maximum retail price (HET), and the raw materials received were of poor quality.

As a result, she urged SPPG Heads, Financial Supervisors and Nutrition Supervisors not to comply with the demands of SPPG partners.
