Anti-Corruption Commission Investigates Secretary-General of the Ministry of Manpower Regarding Alleged Extortion in K3 Certification
The KPK questioned Cris Kuntadi as a witness in the alleged extortion case related to K3 certification at the Ministry of Manpower. The KPK is investigating the alleged solicitation of funds in connection with the K3 certification process.
“We are delving into the witness’s knowledge regarding the solicitation or receipt of funds for the issuance of K3 certifications to parties within the Ministry of Manpower,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters, quoted on Thursday (February 26, 2026).
In addition to Cris, two other witnesses were also questioned on Wednesday (February 25), namely Daafi Armanda, Head of the Building Construction Section of the Directorate of PNK3 at the Ministry of Manpower, and Dayoena Ivon Muriono, a PPPK (Government Contract Employee) in the General Bureau of the Ministry of Manpower’s Secretariat. The KPK questioned the witnesses regarding the appointments of individuals who have been implicated as suspects in this case.
“Investigators sought information regarding the appointments of the suspects in this case,” he added.
The alleged extortion related to the processing of K3 certifications at the Ministry of Manpower has been ongoing since 2019. The processing fee, which should have been only Rp 275,000, allegedly increased to Rp 6 million.
