Jakarta (ANTARA) — The Indonesian Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) has disclosed that holiday bonuses (THR) gathered by Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman through extorting local government work units in Cilacap District, Central Java, were intended for the regional leadership coordination forum (forkopimda), which includes police, prosecutors, and judges.
“Starting from the police, prosecutors’ office, courts. The courts include both district courts and Islamic courts,” said Asep Guntur Rahayu, Deputy for Enforcement and Execution at the KPK, at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Saturday evening, 14 March.
Asep explained that the KPK obtained this information based on a list of names from the Cilacap forkopimda who would receive THR from Syamsul Auliya.
“The findings from our examination are also documented in his records. We found documentation of this,” he said.
Earlier, on 13 March 2026, the KPK announced its ninth sting operation (OTT) of 2026 and the third in Ramadhan month. The operation arrested Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman and 26 others, whilst seizing cash in Indonesian rupiah.
