Anthony Kartono Tan Resigns from Merdeka Battery (MBMA) Board of Directors

PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk. (MBMA) has received the resignation of Anthony Kartono Tan from the company’s Board of Directors. The resignation letter was received on 15 June 2026.

Management stated in an information disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) on Wednesday (17/6/2026) that the company has received a resignation letter from one member of the Board of Directors, namely Mr Anthony Kartono Tan.

The request for the resignation of the board member will be decided at a General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) and will become effective after obtaining approval from the General Meeting of Shareholders, which the company will convene in accordance with applicable regulations.

Anthony Kartono Tan was appointed as a Director of the company on 6 December 2024. He has experience in investment management and stakeholder relations. He is the son of Winato Kartono, the founder of Provident Capital Indonesia and also the President Commissioner of MBMA.

Previously, he served as an Investment Professional at Provident Capital Partners since April 2024. Prior to that, he worked at Goldman Sachs (2022-2024) with his last position being Investment Banking Associate. He also worked at Lee Family Office from 2019 to 2022, with his last position as Investment Associate.

He earned a BSc in Management with Finance (Honours) from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, United Kingdom, in 2019. His professional qualification is the CFA Programme, having passed Level 1 in July 2021, demonstrating his commitment to developing expertise in investment analysis and portfolio management.
