Antennas for Irian schools
Antennas for Irian schools
JAYAPURA, Irian Jaya: The Jayawijaya regency office is
furnishing high schools isolated in the Baliem valley with
satellite dishes so they can monitor the development process
throughout the country.
Jayawijaya regent, J.B. Wenas, told Antara here on Thursday
that the program is being conducted in stages. He added that
district offices were also being equipped with this facility.
Wenas said that isolated district officials were extremely
hungry for entertainment and expressed hope that the antennas
would allow them to beat stress and boredom. (mds)
