ANTARA ready to support promotion of local potential in Lampung
Bandar Lampung - The Director General of Perum LKBN ANTARA, Benny Siga Butarbutar, stated that Perum LKBN ANTARA, as a government media entity, is ready to support the promotion of local potentials in various regions, particularly in Lampung Province. “On this occasion, during the visit of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission VII, ANTARA, TVRI, and RRI are participating to communicate and coordinate on efforts to enhance economic growth, industry, creative economy, SMEs, and regional tourism. As well as finding solutions to existing problems,” said the Director General of Perum LKBN ANTARA, Benny Siga Butarbutar, in Bandar Lampung on Thursday. He stated that LKBN ANTARA, as a government media, is ready to support various promotional activities for local potentials in the region, especially in Lampung, in the sectors of tourism, SMEs, trade, creative economy, and industry. “Because as a government media, it must provide publications, promotions, and wide-scale reporting. And interestingly, each of these media has its own targets: RRI with its audio audience, then TVRI, and us with all text, video, and photo content, as well as broadcasting abroad. And the most important role is that ANTARA can increase the intensity of reporting and promotion,” he said. He explained that special coverage is also needed for various events in Lampung, and international events such as the world surfing championship, as well as various economic potentials and SMEs that need to be highlighted on the national stage, so that they can serve as lessons for other regions. Furthermore, ANTARA also needs to help in reporting on export potentials and industry, so that its growth can be much faster and directly reach target markets. “And all of this will certainly accelerate Lampung’s economic growth. So our role is central, and this will become a strategic pattern going forward on how the role of government-owned media can help, support, and create economic, industrial, and SME promotions that can certainly drive regional growth,” he said. He continued that ANTARA has sufficient competitiveness to help promotion in four sectors: economy, SMEs, tourism, and creative economy, because it has a network of foreign bureaus and bureaus in 34 provinces. “With this network, it can help promotion on a national scale across all regions for products or potentials that are Lampung’s strengths, and with promotional access abroad, it can help open up market access even more. The current era is an era of information collaboration, and this becomes a strength when ANTARA’s strengths meet the region’s strengths, then this will have a real impact,” he added.
