ANTARA Ready to Support Cultural Heritage Preservation through Reporting
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Director General of Perum LKBN ANTARA, Benny Siga Butarbutar, stated that ANTARA is ready to support all forms of cultural heritage preservation through various reporting activities to voice the spirit of national identity as a rich Nusantara. “We are here to continue fighting for the spirit that ANTARA’s foundation is to strive to report our identity wherever it may be,” said Benny in his speech at the Revitalisasi Keraton Nusantara painting exhibition at the Antara Heritage Center (AHC), Jakarta, on Friday. Benny said that the selection of the Antara Heritage Center as the location for the Revitalisasi Keraton Nusantara exhibition is an honour and aligns with ANTARA’s commitment to continue publicising news from various regions in Indonesia across various reporting products, from text news, photos, TV to social media. “That’s why I can be more serious because ANTARA has 34 bureaus; I hope we can continue with an MoU, so ANTARA bureau chiefs throughout Indonesia are obliged to publicise, document, create text news, photos, TV, as well as videos even on social media, because ANTARA also becomes meaningful if we can help,” said Benny. The Revitalisasi Keraton Nusantara painting exhibition, initiated by the Forum Silaturahmi Keraton Nusantara (FSKN), takes place from 24-28 April at the AHC Building in Central Jakarta. This exhibition features paintings from 44 artists affiliated with the Himpunan Seni Budaya Islam (HSBI), Himpunan Pelukis Jakarta (Hipta), and Asosiasi Pelukis Nusantara (Aspen), which not only unite visual styles but also unite the vision of the importance of reviving the meaning of keraton in the contemporary era. Benny also committed to becoming a bridge for disseminating news from FSKN, which voices the preservation of keraton kingdoms as symbols of civilisation, centres of values, and living traces of history that serve as the initial pillar of Indonesian national identity.
