The national news agency ANTARA has launched a photojournalism exhibition titled ‘Perisai Tunas’ at the ANTARA Heritage Center in Central Jakarta, running from 25 June to 10 July 2026. The exhibition aims to promote the importance of child protection in the digital age, as outlined in Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 on Electronic System Governance for Child Protection (PP Tunas).

ANTARA President Director Beni Siga Butarbutar said the exhibition serves as a platform to disseminate the policy. ‘Today, ANTARA is holding the Perisai Tunas photo exhibition to demonstrate that through photos, we can become an instrument for the state to socialise the PP Tunas policy,’ he stated during the opening.

The exhibition features 45 photographs and three photo stories by ANTARA photojournalists, depicting social realities, educational activities, youth resilience, and the productive use of technology. The theme ‘Perisai Tunas’ (Shield of Buds) represents the younger generation as buds of the nation that must be protected, nurtured, and strengthened.

Beni emphasised that protecting children from the negative impacts of the digital space is crucial for preparing Indonesia’s golden generation. He confirmed that ANTARA will intensify its reporting on PP Tunas. ‘Today we see an effort to become an extension of the state. ANTARA will continue to develop news coverage related to PP Tunas,’ he said.
