ANTARA Distributes Sacrificial Animals to Masjid Al Jannah in Bengkulu

The distribution of sacrificial meat is prioritised for needy communities around the mosque to ensure the benefits of the kurban are shared equitably.

Bengkulu City (ANTARA) – Perum Lembaga Kantor Berita Nasional (LKBN) ANTARA, through its Bengkulu Bureau, has distributed two goats as sacrificial animals to communities around Masjid Al Jannah in Rawa Makmur Village, Bengkulu City, for the Eid al-Adha celebration of 1447 Hijriah/2026 Gregorian calendar.

‘We hope this sacrificial animal assistance benefits the local community, especially around Sungai Serut in Rawa Makmur, which is frequently affected by floods,’ said ANTARA Bengkulu Bureau Chief Anom Prihantoro, representing the LKBN ANTARA Board of Directors in Bengkulu on Tuesday.

He added that the sacrificial animal donation reflects LKBN ANTARA’s concern for the community, particularly residents of Rawa Makmur who are often impacted by flooding when the Serut River overflows.

The distribution was carried out by ANTARA representatives and received directly by the Masjid Al Jannah Mosque Management Board (BKM) along with local residents.

The LKBN ANTARA sacrificial animal donation was well received by the mosque management and community members, who welcomed the support for helping meet local needs for sacrificial meat.

Masjid Al Jannah BKM Chairman Mardoni stated his readiness to receive and manage the sacrificial animals.

‘This is a significant trust that we will carry out with full responsibility,’ Mardoni said.

He added that the distribution of sacrificial meat would prioritise needy communities around the mosque to ensure equitable sharing of the benefits.

Mardoni also expressed appreciation and thanks to the donors for entrusting Masjid Al Jannah as a distribution site for sacrificial animals.

‘We are deeply grateful for this trust. May it be a source of blessings for all parties involved,’ he said.
