ANTARA and Kapuas Regency Government Affirm Collaboration on Public Information Dissemination
Palangka Raya (ANTARA) — The ANTARA National News Agency’s Central Kalimantan Bureau (ANTARA Kalteng) and the Kapuas Regency Government have affirmed their readiness to collaborate on disseminating development information as part of public transparency in governance.
Kapuas Regional Secretariat Assistant for General Administration Pery Noah said in Kapuas on Tuesday that the cooperation with ANTARA, a national media outlet, plays an important role in improving the quality of government information dissemination to the public.
“The mass media plays an important role in disseminating development information to the public. We therefore very much welcome the presence of ANTARA Kalteng. This existing cooperation will be carried out and continuously enhanced,” he said.
He noted that, in line with ANTARA’s capacity, the collaboration is expected to extend beyond merely disseminating development information to the public and also touch upon other aspects.
“Improving the competence of human resources in public relations and journalism has become an important need in the current era of information openness and digital transformation. This is an area of cooperation that can be developed going forward,” said Pery Noah.
Meanwhile, Kapuas Head of the Communications, Information, Statistics and Encryption Agency (Diskominfosantik) Hartoni U Sawang explained that previously, in 2019, the agency had established cooperation with ANTARA on improving journalistic human resources.
Furthermore, similar cooperation was also carried out in 2025, though it was limited to training in text journalism, photography, video and social media content attended by internal Diskominfosantik staff.
“The cooperation has provided great benefits in improving news writing skills and public information management. We hope this cooperation can be continued and enhanced,” he said while receiving an audience from the ANTARA Central Kalimantan Bureau.
Head of the ANTARA Central Kalimantan Bureau Joko Susilo expressed appreciation for the cooperation and collaboration that has been established with the Kapuas Regency Government.
“As a state news agency, ANTARA will always be ready to work in synergy and support the dissemination of information related to government programmes, including in Kapuas Regency,” he said.
He expressed hope that the cooperation and collaboration would have a positive impact on both parties, particularly in ensuring that information on development programmes becomes more widely known to the public.
“We are also ready to support human resource capacity building and the strengthening of development information publication in Kapuas Regency through our various training programmes,” he said.
