Antam Strengthens Its Business with a Focus on Creating Long-Term Value
PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ANTM) is continuing to strengthen its business fundamentals to support national growth and create long-term value for shareholders and stakeholders.
Through the management of its gold, nickel and bauxite businesses, Antam is focusing on optimising high-value-added operations and developing sustainable businesses to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia’s mining industry globally.
Antam Corporate Secretary Wisnu Danandi Haryanto said the company recorded positive financial growth in the first half of 2026.
Antam posted revenue of Rp62.71 trillion, an increase of 6.3% compared with Rp59.02 trillion in the same period a year earlier. Profit for the period reached Rp6.91 trillion, up 34% from Rp5.14 trillion in the first half of 2025.
“This performance provides Antam with a strategic foundation for continuing business growth, maintaining the resilience of the national industry and sustaining shareholder confidence. Going forward, we will continue to optimise our business potential and ensure that corporate governance is conducted properly, measurably and responsibly,” Wisnu said on Friday (23 October 2026).
In line with this commitment, Antam is monitoring capital-market developments and evaluating strategic options to respond to market conditions, including the possibility of a share buyback as part of efforts to optimise its capital structure.
Wisnu said the evaluation was being carried out carefully, taking into account market conditions, the strength of the company’s fundamentals and financial capacity, as well as priority funding requirements for supporting operations and business development, particularly the success of the national downstreaming agenda.
Wisnu said the buyback option was still under review. Antam would consider the most appropriate and adaptable course of action in light of market developments, while prioritising the protection of shareholder interests and long-term business sustainability.
“Antam continuously monitors market developments and evaluates relevant strategic steps in response to current conditions. We want to ensure that every decision is consistent with strengthening the company’s fundamentals, aligned with national interests and contributes to maximising long-term value for shareholders,” Wisnu concluded.
