PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (ANTM) continued its growth trend in the first quarter of 2026 by recording a net profit of Rp3.66 trillion.

President Director of ANTAM, Untung Budiharto, stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that this achievement was attained amid global challenges, including fluctuations in commodity prices, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, and a slowdown in global economic growth.

According to him, ANTAM’s financial performance was driven by increasingly strong operational fundamentals, reflected in the optimal performance of the nickel segment, strengthened gold sourcing to ensure supply continuity, and the start of operations at the smelter-grade alumina (SGA) plant, which bolsters growth in the bauxite and alumina segment.

In 1Q26, the company recorded improved profitability with operating profit of Rp3.66 trillion, up 58% from Rp2.32 trillion in 1Q25.

In line with this increase, ANTAM also booked a 55% growth in EBITDA to Rp5.05 trillion, compared to Rp3.26 trillion in 1Q25.

He stated that this positive financial performance was also supported by the company’s consistency in implementing adaptive and innovative marketing strategies, as well as effective and disciplined cost control across all operational lines.

The company’s profitability growth in 1Q26 is reflected in gross profit of Rp5.62 trillion, up 54% from Rp3.64 trillion in 1Q25.

Operating profit in 1Q26 reached Rp4.50 trillion, growing 67% from Rp2.69 trillion in 1Q25, while other income increased 15% to Rp279.60 billion.

This increase drove the basic earnings per share to Rp141.77, up 60% from Rp88.69 in 1Q25.

In addition, ANTAM’s total assets were recorded at Rp63.30 trillion in 1Q26, up 31% from Rp48.30 trillion in 1Q25. Equity value increased 17% to Rp40.41 trillion, while cash and cash equivalents rose 31% to Rp9.04 trillion.

Furthermore, in 1Q26, net sales reached Rp29.32 trillion, up 12% from Rp26.15 trillion in 1Q25, with domestic contributions at 97%.

“Implementation of robust operational strategies along with disciplined and prudent financial management has driven sustainable performance strengthening, thereby providing positive returns and added value for shareholders,” he said.

The gold segment contributed 81% to total sales, with sales of Rp23.89 trillion, up 11% from Rp21.61 trillion in 1Q25. Gold sales volume was recorded at 8,464 kg.

To ensure supply continuity, ANTAM also signed a Gold Sales & Purchase Agreement (GSPA) with the Merdeka Group on 4 March 2026.

The nickel segment contributed 15% or Rp4.47 trillion to total sales, up 19% from Rp3.77 trillion in 1Q25.

Nickel ore production reached 3.88 million wmt with sales of 3.40 million wmt, all absorbed domestically. Ferronickel production was recorded at 3,976 TNi, with sales volume of 2,803 TNi, all for export.

The bauxite and alumina segment contributed 3% to total sales with a value of Rp879.14 billion, up 24% from Rp708.75 billion in 1Q25. Bauxite production reached 628,785 wmt and alumina 49,566 tonnes, with sales volumes of 593,476 wmt and 49,072 tonnes, respectively.
