Antam Invites Women to Champion Marine Conservation
PT Antam (Persero) Tbk (ANTM), together with participants of Women On The Move 2026, has reinforced its commitment to environmental preservation through a marine conservation initiative titled The Blue Legacy: An Exclusive Ocean Conservation Experience With Antam, held at Medana Bay, Lombok, on Saturday (12/9/2026).
The event forms part of the Women On The Move 2026 series, which carries the theme “Leading Beyond Limits, Creating Lasting Impact”. The programme combines leadership development, networking, wellness and inspiration with social action and environmental care.
Through The Blue Legacy, Antam and the participants took concrete action to support the sustainability of Lombok’s coastal ecosystem. At least 50 baby sea turtles were released and 55 corals were planted or restored in the Medana Bay area.
Arini Kasmira, Finance and Risk Management Director of PT Antam (Persero) Tbk, said sustainability is an inseparable part of the company’s culture. In practice, Antam always places safety as the top priority in every corporate activity.
“At Antam, sustainability goes hand in hand with safety. Every activity always begins with a safety moment. Safety always comes first. Before we talk about sustainability and long-term impact, safety is the top priority,” Arini said during The Blue Legacy event at Medana Bay, Lombok, as quoted from the company’s official statement on Monday (14/9/2026).
According to Arini, the principle of safety serves as the foundation for carrying out Antam’s various activities, including programmes related to sustainability and community empowerment.
On the occasion, Arini expressed hope that the conservation action carried out through Women On The Move 2026 would deliver a broader and more sustainable impact, and not stop at being a ceremonial event.
“We hope this activity can provide meaningful impact to all participants, while becoming part of the spirit of women leading beyond limits and creating lasting impact,” she said.
Arini further explained that coral reefs play an important role in the survival of marine ecosystems, serving as habitat and a source of life for various fish species. Meanwhile, the release of baby sea turtles forms part of efforts to maintain the sustainability of turtle populations and coastal ecosystems.
She also expressed hope that The Blue Legacy would become a moment to instil awareness that sustainability requires contribution and collaboration from various parties. The impact of the action is expected to be felt over the long term, even after the Women On The Move 2026 series concludes.
Through this initiative, Antam continues to promote the application of sustainability principles that add value to the environment and society. The collaboration with Women On The Move 2026 also broadens the meaning of women’s leadership, not only through capacity and network development, but also through tangible contribution to environmental preservation.
