Antam Gold Price Surges to Rp 2.729 Million per Gram
The price of gold issued by PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk., or the Antam gold price, surged by Rp 18,000 to Rp 2,729,000 from the previous Rp 2,711,000 per gram. Information on the Logam Mulia page in Jakarta, Monday at 09.14 WIB, also showed that in addition to the selling price, the buyback price of gold also rose to Rp 2,500,000 per gram.
βThe Antam gold price can change at any time,β as quoted from Antara. The gold selling price transaction is subject to a tax deduction, in accordance with PMK Number 34/PMK.10/2017 for all types of gold ranging from 1 gram to 1,000 grams (1 kilogram).
Resale of gold bars to PT Antam Tbk with a nominal value of more than Rp 10 million is subject to Income Tax (PPh) Article 22 of 1.5 percent for holders of a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) and 3 percent for non-NPWP holders. Meanwhile, PPh 22 on buyback transactions is deducted directly from the total buyback value.

The tax deduction on the gold purchase price will follow PMK Number 34/PMK.10/2017. Purchases of gold bars are subject to PPh 22 of 0.45 percent for NPWP holders and 0.9 percent for non-NPWP holders. Every purchase of gold bars is accompanied by proof of PPh 22 deduction.
