Antam Gold Price Soars by IDR 40,000, Reaching IDR 3,068,000
The price of gold produced by PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk, or Antam gold, increased by IDR 40,000 to IDR 3,068,000 per gram on 24 February 2024. Meanwhile, the buyback price for Antam gold has now risen to IDR 2,854,000 per gram.
The price of Antam gold can change at any time. Sales transactions are subject to tax deductions, in accordance with PMK No. 34/PMK.10/2017 for all types of gold, from 1 gram to 1,000 grams (1 kilogram).
As quoted from Antara, the resale of gold bars to PT Antam Tbk with a nominal value of more than IDR 10 million will be subject to Income Tax (PPh) Article 22 of 1.5 percent for holders of a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) and 3 percent for non-NPWP holders. Meanwhile, the PPh 22 on buyback transactions is deducted directly from the total buyback value.

The tax deduction on the purchase price of gold is in accordance with PMK Number 34/PMK.10/2017, where the purchase of gold bars is subject to PPh 22 of 0.45 percent for NPWP holders and 0.9 percent for non-NPWP holders. Each purchase of gold bars is accompanied by proof of PPh 22 deduction.
